1. Your profile
Avoid identifying details in your bio or photos. Workplace lanyards, house numbers, car number plates and recognisable local landmarks all narrow down who you are faster than people expect.
A face photo is not required to have a good profile. Many members use photos that do not show their face, at least until they have built trust with someone.
2. Account security
Use a unique, strong password for your SubDom account and store it in a trusted password manager. If you use a shared device, do not save your login and always sign out when you finish. Reusing a password from a breached site is one of the most common ways accounts are taken over.
Use a dedicated email address for dating profiles if discretion matters to you. It also makes it easy to spot if that address ever turns up in a data breach.
3. Sharing images and information with matches
Anything you send can be screenshotted or saved, regardless of the app. Share at the pace you are comfortable with, and treat pressure to share more, faster, as a red flag rather than persistence.
