What Happens After You Report Someone

Last updated 6 July 2026

Reporting can feel like shouting into a void. Here is what actually happens on our end.

1. When you submit a report

[FILL IN: e.g. "Every report is reviewed by a member of our moderation team, typically within [X hours/days]."]

2. What we look at

[FILL IN: what evidence is reviewed, such as the reported messages/profile, prior reports against the account, etc.]

3. Possible outcomes

  • [FILL IN: e.g. warning, temporary suspension, permanent ban, referral to police where required]

4. Blocking versus reporting

Blocking is immediate and takes effect right away. Reporting additionally flags the account for our moderation team. The two are not the same action, and we would suggest doing both if you are ending contact with someone because of their behaviour.
